Your safety

Privacy & safety

You should be able to say the truest thing you’ve said all week here. This is how we try to make that safe.

If you or someone here may be in immediate danger

Please don’t wait for a reply in a room. Reach a trained human right now:

  • Call or text 988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US), free, 24/7.
  • Call 911 or your local emergency number if anyone is in immediate danger.
  • Text HOME to 741741 — Crisis Text Line.
  • 1-800-944-4773 — Postpartum Support International.

Mama’s Haven is not an emergency service and rooms are not monitored around the clock.

You are a display name, not your identity

You choose the name shown in the rooms, and you can change it each visit. Use a nickname or first name only — never your full name.

Your email address is never displayed to anyone. It is used only to sign you in and, if you turn it on, to let you know when someone replies. Phone numbers are optional and also never shown.

Profile photos are completely optional — you can add one if it helps you feel connected, and stay as just an initial if you’d rather. Photos live in private storage, are visible only to signed-in members inside the rooms, and you can change yours any time.

Report a message or a member

Any message in a room can be reported. Tell us what happened in a sentence — that’s enough. Reports are private; the person you report is never told who reported them.

Moderators can remove messages and remove members from the community.

Block someone, instantly

Blocking is one tap and takes effect immediately: their messages disappear from your view of every room, and they can’t reach you. You don’t need a reason and nobody is notified.

What we ask you not to share

Please leave out full names, addresses, workplaces, schools, phone numbers, and anything that could identify your children. Screenshots of the rooms are not allowed.

What stays in the rooms

Messages remain in the room so a mom who posts at 3 a.m. can be answered later by someone who wakes up. Treat the rooms as semi-public among members — not as a private message.

Peer support, not clinical care

Everyone in the rooms is a fellow mother, not a clinician. Mama’s Haven does not provide therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis intervention, and nothing here replaces care from your doctor, midwife, or a licensed mental-health professional.

If you’ve been feeling heavy, anxious, numb, or unlike yourself, please tell your doctor. That call is one of the kindest things you can do for yourself.

Need help with the site itself?

Trouble signing in, something not working, a question about your account, or something you’d like us to know? Email us anytime at binasbelly773@gmail.com — a real person reads every message.

For anything urgent about your safety or health, please use the crisis lines above or your doctor instead — email isn’t monitored around the clock.
