Community guidelines

Mama’s Haven works because of how we treat each other. These are the few things we ask of everyone who walks in.

01

Kindness first, always

You can disagree. You cannot shame, mock, or lecture. If a reply wouldn’t comfort you at 3 a.m., don’t send it.

02

No unsolicited advice

Ask before offering suggestions. “Do you want ideas, or do you want me to just listen?” is one of the kindest sentences here.

03

Support, not diagnosis

Share your own experience. Never tell another mom what condition she has, what medication to take, or to stop a treatment.

04

Protect everyone’s privacy

Don’t share full names, addresses, workplaces, or screenshots from the rooms. What’s said here stays here.

05

No judgment on how she mothers

Feeding, sleep, working, faith, discipline, family shape — every mother here is doing it differently, and that is allowed.

06

No selling, recruiting, or promotion

No products, programs, MLMs, coaching offers, or links to your business. This is a haven, not a marketplace.

07

Graphic detail, gently

You can name hard things — loss, intrusive thoughts, abuse. Please avoid graphic detail that could hurt the next mom reading.

08

Nobody here is on shift

The rooms are not monitored around the clock. If someone is in danger, point them to 988 or 911 rather than trying to handle it alone.

If something crosses the line

Every message in a room has a Report option, and you can block any member so their messages no longer appear for you. Reports go to our moderators, who can remove messages and remove members from the community. You never have to explain yourself to the person you’re reporting.

If a mom may be in immediate danger

Don’t carry it alone and don’t wait. Tell her plainly to call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741, or call 911 if anyone is in immediate danger. Then report the message so a moderator sees it. Mama’s Haven cannot respond to emergencies.
